So today, my hubby, son and I were up at the crack of dawn to watch the Olympic Torch relay that goes by not too far from where we live....
...it was an amazing experience, such a great atmosphere and a once in a lifetime experience! Well, almost, as we're just off into town to watch the relay continue!
I've got lots more photos to upload later on today, so will add them later on.
And here's a video of the torch bearer carrying the flame across the lake :)
Edit:...and here we have [some of] my photos from today. The rest, as always, can be found on my Flickr.

In the afternoon, we ventured to the town centre of Romford to see the relay continue along South Street.

I was the Torchbearer who ran with the Olympic Torch on Sunday in Redbridge and was also very lucky to also get to carry it across Fairlop lake, which I only found out about 2 hours before it happening! I had the most amazing experience and enjoyed every second of the occasion so much! By far one of the most proudest and best moments of my life! When I came across your blog and saw the photos and the video of myself with the torch I was thrilled! It was really good to see such a great turn out and I only hope everyone had a really good time!
ReplyDeleteI'm honoured to have a celebrity (of sorts!) in my blog's mist! What an amazing experience for you, and I am so glad you found my little blog which lead you to photos and video of your day!
